The Sales Manager will be instrumental in building and leading our sales team, directly managing SDRs and AEs, conducting 1-on-1s, and fostering a high-performing sales organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands-on role for a dynamic leader who will oversee the entire sales function, including recruitment, training, and performance management, while also supporting enablement initiatives to ensure the team exceeds targets.
⚡ What you'll do
- Conduct 1-on-1s and performance reviews - Regularly meet with team members to provide coaching, feedback, and support to drive individual and team performance.
- Design and implement sales training programs - Develop comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training curricula to ensure the team is equipped with product knowledge, industry insights, and effective sales techniques.
- Create and refine sales playbooks - Develop playbooks tailored to specific industries and customer segments to drive consistent performance.
- Develop sales enablement materials - Collaborate with marketing to create impactful collateral like case studies, one-pagers, and presentations to support the sales process.
- Build and lead the sales team - Recruit, onboard, and develop SDRs and AEs, fostering a culture of accountability and success.
- Directly close deals when needed - We are a small team so be prepared to actively engage in the sales process, including leading client meetings, negotiating contracts, and closing deals, especially in strategic or high-impact opportunities.
🎯 What we're looking for
- Sales leadership experience - 2+ years in a sales leadership role, preferably in SaaS, managing SDRs and AEs with a proven ability to build high-performing teams.
- Proven success - Track record of exceeding sales targets and scaling teams to drive significant growth.
- Technical proficiency - Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and sales platforms (e.g., Apollo), with a knack for leveraging technology to optimize sales processes.
- Coaching and mentorship - Strong ability to motivate, mentor, and develop team members to achieve their best results.
- Data-driven decision-making - Skilled at analyzing performance metrics to refine strategies and enhance efficiency.
